The Sri Lanka Flag, also known as the Sinha Flag or Lion Flag, is a vibrant symbol of national pride. Featuring a golden lion holding a sword in its right paw against a maroon background, this flag boasts four golden bo leaves at each corner. The design is bordered by gold and includes two vertical stripes on the left - teal and orange, with the orange closest to the lion. The lion and maroon background represent the Sinhalese people, while the saffron border and four bo leaves symbolize metta, karu?a, mudita, and upek?a respectively. The stripes signify Sri Lanka's two largest minorities - with orange representing the Tamils and teal representing the Sri Lankan Moors.
